Lakeview Cabin

By Roope Tamminen

The best way I can describe Lakeview Cabin is that it is a "fuck around and find out" game. You're a man on vacation in a remote cabin on a lake, and you're seeing visions of a sexy ghost lady. What do you do? Well, you drink beer and chop wood and hang out in the sauna until something else weird happens, of course. It's probably a bad idea, you should probably be looking for ways to defend yourself instead, but hey! Nothing's bothered you yet now has it?

Lakeview Cabin is intended to be a little pastiche of 80's horror, and it does really capture that flavor as you bumble around with it. I distinctly remembered there being some kind of sequel that aped off of other tropes from the period, and apparently that was actually a commercial title known as Lakeview Cabin Collection. Then there's also an RPG-styled one called Lakeview Valley, and also an upcoming Lakeview Cabin 2...? I'd like to argue that this just gives the brand even more of that 80's horror movie vibe.
